Take a deep breath and remember who you work for

Let´s just call this week "hump week" and be thankful that it´s over.

I´m not really sure why, but week four of the transfer (6 week cycle) is always the most difficult to get through. Weeks one and two always FLY by, followed quickly by week three, and then BOOM the world comes crashing down for a good seven days, and then thankfully week five always opens up the windows of heaven in comparison.

Okay, so maybe that´s a bit dramatic, but I am happy to announce that it is now week five and life as an Island Missionary is back in order and as lovely as ever. We´re over the "hump" and ready to rock the rest of this transfer.

However, I cant say that this last week was ALL rough...we, of course, had some beautiful moments that are worth sharing.

We played soccer on Saturday! We started a Saturday morning soccer club and I couldn´t be more happy.
However, it got a little intense and I might have fallen and ate pavement...but the other guy ended up in a full arm cast. Dont worry mom, could have been a whole lot worse!

Zone Conference a couple weeks ago! Just incase you were all wondering how attractive our half of the zone is :)
Love these girls. Oh, and the President Assistants are wonderful! They´re leaving this transfer and will be missed.

Meet Leo. He´s four and I may or may not bring him home with me.
The other day we were sharing a message with his family when he came up to me and asked if he could wear my chapa.
I took it off my shirt and attached it to his and he scampered happily away.
A few minutes later I heard little foot prints come up behind me as Leo placed his tiny, sticky little
hands on my head, bowed his own head and proceeded to give a "priesthood blessing".
Yes, I cried. It was the sweetest thing and in the middle of a hard week it just happened to be exactly what I needed.
He had seen the Elders give his mom a blessing in the past and somehow in his innocent, childlike understanding, he felt the power that comes from the priesthood.
It was a tender mercy from the Lord that reminded me of how grateful I am for worthy priesthood holders and how aware Heavenly Father is of His children.

All is well, loved ones. I am so thankful to be here and for this small amount of time that I have been given to serve the Lord. I know I am exactly where I am supposed to be and I am grateful for all of your love and support!

I hope everyone is enjoying a warm summer and lots of time outside! I dare anyone to try to beat my sweet missionary tanlines ;)

Have a great week! Love you all!

xoxo,

Hermana Scheu

p.s. Here are a few quotes from this week! Hope you think they are as funny as I do...probably not.

"Hey, do you know where they sell marijuana here?" Sure, ask the mormon sister missionaries. They´ll know.

"So, if I become Mormon, will I still die? Because I really dont want to live forever..."

Investigator- "Well, Jesus Smoked Pot."
Hermana Bennett- "Where does it say that?"
Investigator- "In the book!"
Hermana Bennett- "What book?"
Investigator- "You know, in the book! It´s written in all the books!"

"There was a tornado in Denver the other day! I didn´t even know that they had tornados in Texas!"

A lady visiting from England turns to me in church as says, "How come your not more brown?" I´ve been wondering that my whole life.
