Missionary Work Is Hard

Hi Family!!!!!

Everything is going great! Lots of work and trying to figure out what I am doing, but it's all good. It's been a lot of fun! Missionary work is great. It's amazing how the Lord works. We've had so many little tender mercies and I am continually amazed at how blessed we have been.

For example, yesterday. Yesterday was good in so many ways, but still a little off for some reason. We spend some time tracting in the evening and decided to run by a members house real quick because she had asked us to help her with something. Well, we knocked on what we thought was the members house (Graciela) but the second the door opened we realized we had confused the apartment numbers. A little boy answered the door and poked his head out and started rambling on in a language that I knew was NOT spanish. We smiled and started to talking to him and his dad came to the door and opened it up and started speaking to us in pretty good English. We explained that we were missionaries for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and that we would like to share a message with his family. Welp, this is where his English skills magically ceased to exist and he started talking in Vietnamese and saying he didn't understand us hahaha So funny.

Anyway, a couple seconds later a young teenage girl came out with a big welcoming smile and kind of took over. We asked her if she knew anything about who we were or what we believe and she said "no". We then started to ask about her and her family's religious beliefs and she told us that her family was Buddist and she was Mormon! She says she goes to church every week with her grandmother and LOVES the mormon church! haha We were happy to hear this (slightly confused) and we offered to come back the next day and have Family Home Evening with her family. She got so excited and said that we would love that!

So, we are going over tonight and we are super excited. I am so thankful that Heavenly Father lead us to this family even if it was the result of our poor sense of direction :)

We've had so many tender miracles like these every day. I wish I could just share them all with you...Story time when I get back!  Thank you all for your prayers and love! I hope you all know how much I love you and think of you often. The Church is true. I love our prophets so much! I re-read President Euchtdorf's talk this morning called 'The Hope of God's Light' It's amazing.

SO MUCH LOVE!!!

Hermana Scheu
